Chocolate-Covered Orange Biscuits

Method

  1. In a large bowl, In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.

  2. Grate the orange peel and then add honey, oil and juice from half an orange.

  3. Stir with a wooden spatula, and then knead a smooth dough with your hands.

  4. If it seems dry, add milk, it depends on the flour you use. If the dough seems too soft and sticky, add more flour, one tablespoon at a time.

  5. Put the dough in a bowl and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.

  6. Knead the cooled dough and then roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 1/4 in (0.5-0.7 cm).

  7. Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to take out the biscuits and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 12 minutes.

  9. It is okay if they are soft after baking; they will harden during cooling.

  10. Leave the cookies to cool.

  11. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave and add chopped almonds. Spread the chocolate on cooled biscuits and let the chocolate set.

  12. Store them in a sealed container at room temperature.
