Hazelnut Truffle Balls

With only four super simple and delicious ingredients, those balls will blow your mind.

Time to read: 4 mins | Time to make: ~20 minutes | Yields: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 100 g (0.833 cups) roasted hazelnuts

  • 10 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1 tablespoon cacao

  • 2 tablespoons cacao nibs

Method

  1. If you bought raw hazelnuts, roast them in the oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes and let them cool.

  2. Coarsely blend hazelnuts. Set aside a few tablespoons of crushed hazelnuts to finish the balls.

  3. Add the dates and blend until the mass is combined.

  4. Add cacao and crushed cocoa nibs and mix well. Shape into balls. If desired, decorate with melted chocolate and hazelnuts, or just roll them in hazelnuts.

Notes

HAZELNUTS: I recommend roasting them for the best flavor. They can be replaced with other nuts.

DATES: It's important that dates are soft and juicy. If they seem dry, soak them in hot water for 15 minutes.
